Seems like alot of good info on this site. Long time reader first time poster. That being said I wanted to contribute a little to the site myself. I have found a motor that will replace the servo motor only on the Rhino 04-07 660's, 06-09 450's and the 08-11 700's. Beats the heck out of paying $200+ for a complete unit. Hope this helps.
This will work on Rhino's and all the following models
08-11 Rhino 700
06-09 Rhino 660
06-09 Rhino 450
02-08 Grizzly 660
07-11 450 Grizzly
09-11 Grizzly 550
03-06 Kodiak 450
07-11 Grizzly 700
08-11 Grizzly 450
07-11 Big Bear 400
04-06 Bruin 350
04-06 Kodiak 400
05-06 Big Bear 400
06-10 Wolverine 450
07-11 Grizzly 350
07-08 Grizzly 400
This first write up was an install on one yesterday and I took pics and wrote a how to. This write up applies to the following
08-11 Rhino 700
Keep scrolling down and I have another write up on the 660 Rhino and 450 as those motors are a little different.
This install was on a 08 Grizzly 700 but they should all be the same for the most part.
If you have a skid plate it would be easier to remove it to access the bottom bolt on the servo and also to let the oil drain. I also recommend having the bike in 2wd to ease in installing the servo back on the diff.
Here’s what it looks like in the bike.

Remove the 3 10 mm bolts that hold the servo on the diff. Gear oil is going to pour out unless you drain it first.
Remove the six phillips head screws that hold the servo assembly together and it will look like this.

Take care not to turn the big black plastic gear. This will cause you problems and will be a headache trying to get everything back in time.
Once apart you’ll see the motor and the two small phillips screws holding it in. Don’t worry about moving the small white worm gear next to the motor to get the motor out. That won’t be a problem, just don’t turn anything on the other half of the case. Once the two screws are removed, carefully pry up on the motor to remove it.

Put the new motor in and reinstall the holdown bracket with the two small phillips screws.

Put the two halve’s back together again making sure not to turn the black plastic gear. Reinstall on your bike, fill with gear oil and enjoy the money you saved vs buying a new servo.
If anyone has any questions or needs a motor please don’t hesitate to shoot me pm. Hope this helps.
The following is the write up and pics for the Rhino 04-07 660 and 06-09 450. Same motor basically just different shafts and no metal gear on these ones.
I pulled the complete diff out due to having to change a seal but you can do this with it still in the bike.

Once removed from the diff. Remove the six T-25 tamper resistant tq screws that hold the servo together.
Once you get the screws out, carefully pry the servo apart taking extra care not to turn the gears inside.
Once apart it will look like this.

Once removed installation is the opposite. Just be sure not to turn anything inside the casing once you open it. The small worm gear on the motor doesn't matter just don't turn anything else.
