Hi, I'm going to rebuild the carb on my Stock Rhino 450. The Rhino is used for hunting once a year and is in great shape but I had trouble getting her to idle lately.
I changed fuel filter, fresh fuel, blew out lines, checked the fuel pump, return line, changed spark plug, and even added a fuel primer bulb since I had time.
I removed the carb and inspected it. It was clean. I checked the Air/Fuel mixture screw and set it to 2-1/2 turns. I re-installed all the jets the same number of turns as I found them
The Float has issues moving smooth and the needle doesn't drop in to the valve correctly, it kinda sticks.
Now she won't start. When I hold the disconnected carb out in an upright position (with the float cover removed) and turn on the key, fuel doesn't come out of the bottom unless i move the float around. The needle seems to stick even though it's clean.
When I spray starter fluid into the intake, she fires right up but dies when the starter fluid is spent.
I'm thinking it would be a good time to rebuild the carb and add a new float kit but I can't seem to find a stock kit and float for sale.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
