Been using the regular Warn plow synthetic rope for lifting my 72 inch plow for the past few years and had to change it out each year due to breaking. Does anyone know if the Warn 8 foot synthetic plow lift rope is more durable? Or is it just a gimick so you only screw up an 8 foot rope instead of 50 feet? If it matters I have a Warn XT30 winch.

I run blue synthectic rope, are you using composite plastic ferrel lead rollers? steel ones wear them out early, also make sure your lift angle is not binding, i rap elect. tape around the first few feet of it leading down to the blade from the winch, knock on wood it hasn't broke in 3 yrs. of heavy plowing, your 72'' blade is heavy when you add packed up snow on it, my .02 worth.

Thanks. Wasn't aware that there are composite fairlead rollers.
Yep, got mine on ebay they are all black in color it's a complete kit brackets & all, maybe someone on here stocks them. Try wrapping the rope with elect. tape too..
