Hey Everyone, new to the forum and to Rhino's!

I was hoping for some opinions and help... I am looking at a 2007 Rhino SE listed for $6000.

Here are the details:

292 HRS
1460 MILES
New brakes
Warn winch
Removeable Cab
Snorkel kit
Aftermarket wheels/tires (Larger) (Good Rubber)
Wheel Spacers
Half Windshield
Half Doors
Upgraded Electrical Kit
Flood Lights on the Front
Rear Bumper
Dust Eliminator Kit
Hard Top
Upgraded Computer
Radio
Center Console

More or less I am just looking for some ideas on what to look for.. i.e. problematic areas.. etc. How fast should this machine go? What kind of rpm's should I look for? Also do the hours/miles seem normal/average for a 2007?

Hmm, seems like a pretty reasonable price given the added accessories. I have a 2011 Rhino 700 with almost 1100 miles on it already. So 1460 miles for a 2007 isn't that bad at all. The only thing I'd be concerned with is what condition the CVT belt is in. Ask the owner if he/she had had it checked or has checked it themselves to make sure its still within specifications. Test drive it, make sure it doesn't pull to either side, test out all the drive positions, H,L, and reverse. Also test the 4WD system. Make sure there aren't any odd noises and such. Make sure the machine starts easily when its cold, if not that usually means some carburetor adjustments are going to be needed.

Overall sounds like a great deal to me. The total of those add-on accessories are worth a few thousand bucks alone, so the price seems pretty reasonable to me like I said. If I had the money I'd definitely jump on that.

That seems to be pretty low miles...and the price seems fair for all of the add ons you have listed. The only things that would make me really check the bike good; are , the snorkel kit, and the "larger" tires. To me, that means this bike has been in DEEP mud or water more than once...not saying that's a bad thing...just saying look it over REALLY GOOD!!! Jack it up and check all the wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rods, ect. ("larger" tires will cause premature wear on all of these components).
A stock bike will do around 40-41 mph...with the "upgraded" computer, it will more than likely be faster than that...and those larger tires will affect what the speedo reads. If you decide to buy this...try and talk him down 300 bucks so you can buy a Hot-rod sheave from James...it'll really wake that thing up with those bigger tires, giving you CRAZY bottom end !!

something i would do as said about snorkle....i did not do this on mine....and will tell everyone....is pull both seats out....only one hand latch...no tools...and sit both on ground out of the way...and look around gas tank for mud?....and under driver seat...is it full of mud?.....mine was filled with packed mud..this thing had been berried before and never cleaned out from there?...also i had a bent axle that was found running machine in 4x4 with up on jackstands....yours sounds like a good deal...just check it out good....with seats out check oil ond condish too

I just sold a 2007 base model 660, with virtually the same miles and hours, for $6500. Mine had stock rubber and a few extras like a console, spray-in bedliner, and a factory hard top taken off a new 2009 Sport. But nothing like the list you gave. I couldn't determine where you live. But be aware that mine was maintained garaged in south Arizona and had never been wet. No rust, no water infiltration, etc. That snorkle would worry me a bit. So I agree with the comments made by the others here.

You asked about speed. It has a limiter that shuts down the ignition and/or fuel flow at 41 mph. You can install an aftermarket chip that will add about 10 mph to that, but unless you are a Baja racer why bother? Be aware that the 2007 had a carburetor and not the fuel injection. I've ridden as high as 10,000 ft and never noticed any lessening of power. But at that altitude it will backfire when you let off the gas and back down on the compression. I just kept a bit of power in as I braked (I know that sounds odd but it worked). I got about 15 mpg crawling on rough terrain, but my Wrangler can't do that well under the same circumstances. I figured 100 miles max on a trip and always had a couple of gallons left. That mileage did go up when I was flying down dirt roads and not crawling.
