I'm new to the forum and I want to thank you guys for allowing me to join....
I'm sure this topic has been covered, I've read alot of threads on hear about transmissions on hear but I want to ask this any way.......
I'm looking at buying a second rhino... It's a 06.... The problem it has is this....
When it's in gear ( 2 or 4wd) and you mash the throttle pedal it moves about a foot and then just rolls back.....
Is this an out put shaft issue...
A transmission problem......
A differential issue ....

If the front u joint turns and the rear u joint turns when it's in neutral then the middle drive gear is ok?

Should b. You can do one other check to b 100%, take belt off then put it in gear and push it. The secondary sheave should turn, if it doesent then its the middle drive gear. If it does turn then my thinking is its in the driveshaft splines or the boss’s like i said before
If it were mine and both shafts turned like they r suppose to i wouldent even do the second check i mentioned

Ok guys I've got new Intel on this transmission issue.....
I checked to see if front and rear drive shaft turn when unit is in neutral and pushed forwards and backwards..... They do.....
I wasnt about to look at the clutch sheaves....
When I started it up and tested it again there is a very bad grinding noise in the transmission.....
