Other than Maxxis Big Horns what would you guys consider good dirt tires?

Dont say Terracross tires either, they puncture WAY TOO EASY! They have great traction but thats it. My stock tires are more puncture resistant than the Terracraps.

Ive been looking into the same this........I think the TC's are a pretty good all around tire, but like you said, they puncture way to easy!!! I was gonna go with the Carlise's, but I dont think they'll hold up to well for heavy trail riding.

Ive been looking around quite a bit and am thinking about trying the ITP Holeshot ATR's. Ive heard good things about the Holeshots, so these may be worth checking out. Look at the link and give me your thoughts...

I have a set of holeshots for my Banshee, I was just looking at them in the garage right now and thinking that they might be a great tire for dirt/desert.

BUT... I dont think will spend the money without hearing someone test them out first. The Terracross is a GREAT TRACK tire, and I am certain that the Holeshot would probably be just as great a track tire. But I dont want to continue to have the same puncture issues with the Holeshot.

The think I dont like about the 589s is that they dont turn as smoothly as other tires, you feel those big lugs and it definitely affects any high-speed turning ability. So basically for desert they wouldnt perform as well as a Big Horn IMO.

It's going to be hard to beat Bighorns...nothing even really comes to mind.
