Hey guys, thinking about getting a built rhino and swapping it with an sv1000 for show use (and fun use:32:)

Anyways, for those of you who have done this swap or even an R1 swap at that, is it possible to do with a permanent cage? Obviously I'd have to strip it down as much as possible, but thinking about going with the Weller Kit and just want to make sure it's do-able without having to chop up the cage to get to mounting points, etc.

Here's the rhino I'm looking at

Thanks ahead of time guys!

Width wise, the Sv1000 should fit between the seats with no issues. As long as there aren't any down bars in obnoxious places (like right in front of a clutch cover), you shouldn't have to change anything, other than the engine mounts, etc. Every custom cage is different, however.....and if you want to be sure, you can e-mail Jason some pics of your cage/etc....and he can probably give you a better idea.

I don't see any bars in that photo in the one place that would give you trouble. So I think you'll be good.

It was a little tight on my R1 into a fully built car, but luckily I built my car a little wider than most, so after a small change, it fit perfectly.

Awesome.. yeah I emailed Jason @ Weller and he said the same that it should work fine.

I'd love to put an R1 in there, but I just have to see how wide this guy made the car.. it looks a lot wider, and I know the seats were moved, but I know there's more than that to dropping an R1 in there

Not much.... :) We designed that kit off of my race Rhino....which was just a lowered, widened chassis with a regular Rhino motor in it. If you measure the space between your seats, you might find you have enough room? I don't know how wide you will need, but I know Jason does. Either way, even if will only fit an SV1000, it will still be a kick in the pants and really fun! :)
