I picked this up on GD.com, B&A Motorsports in Phx posted this.

Wanted to give my fellow UTV owners a heads up - we had a customer who just came home from a WORCs race on Sunday night around 11ish, pulled his Toy Hauler with the truck into his back yard, locked the toy hauler with 3 locks, lock the gate, Monday morning between 7:30 and 10am, his entire toy hauler was cleaned out, they took, 2- 2005 Honda TRX450Rs, 2007 blue Rhino and 2006 Yamaha YFZ450. Our customer lives in a nice neighborhood in the West Valley - Glendale/Peoria area!!! They even tried to kick in his side garage door to go after his sand car but were unsuccessful.......Police said UTV's are the hottest things to steal right now and that these people are being very bold!!!.......With so much invested in our off-road vehicles...We wanted to get the word out to make sure all our fellow UTV and Quad/bike owners, get theft insurance and also lock your vehicle's to anything you can, even bolt them to the floor if you have to.
My Rhino was tampered with here in Surprise right before I left on a trip on New Years. I had the Rhino on the trailer when I drove to pick up some food from Charlie's Subs. After I got the food I went to the car and the Rhino was still on the trailer so I went home, ate my food, and then went outside to continue loading up the trailer. I immediately noticed my rear tie-downs were totally loose, upon further inspection they were removed from the trailer at their tie down position. I went to the front of the Rhino and same thing, not only were the tie-downs just hanging there, but the knots I tied on all the straps were undone. I know this happened when I went to get food, while at home my trailer that the Rhino was on was backed into the driveway all the way to the RV gate which is right next to my front door.

Just be on the lookout, the thieves are out there! Have your guns locked and loaded.

Maybe it is a good idea to get a car alarm for a Rhino.

This is the exact reason I paid the $250 for insurance. I have piece of mind that if mine gets ripped off the insurance company will cut me a check.

I also have lots of guns too....so if anyone tried to steal while I'm around they better pray to god I miss them when I start blastin.:AR15firing:

You should have your buddy call all the local shops and let them know so if anyone comes in there looking to buy an ignition switch, then anybody that tries to buy one they have to show paper work on there rhino before they can get one..

I know how that guy feels, I had a quad stolen and its not fun. Anyway here is something that all you guys should look into. There is an alarm that is made for motorcycles that a guy is selling on e-bay. I bought this and installed it on my rhino. So far I have had it on for about 8 months and have not had a problem with it yet. Here is the thing, you can lock your **** down but if they want it bad enough they will get it. My thing is it has a very sensitive and very loud siren and I dont think very many f#c*()@ [email protected]&*() would stick around while this thing is going off while they are in your backyard. Its just another good deterrent. OK, here is the best part, I called that Conversion place up on I-17 and Bell and they are putting in $250-300 car alarms on their Rhino's and I got this off e-bay for $35. It has the alarm, engine kill, and remote start which is cool. I made a diagram on how I installed mine because the instructions that come with it suck. So if anyone buys one just let me know and I can fax a copy over. Here is a completed listing but you can get his info and contact him, he lives in Wickenburg http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Kawa...004QQitemZ140080242082QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

I emailed the dude to see if he has anymore. I'm in! Also, I could use a diagram as well! There is a guy local to me that invented a tracking device that is similar to Lojack, except without the bi every month or year or whatever It's smaller than a cig pack, but you can hide it in anything you want to hide it in, and you pay like 90cents every time you go online to track it. He's pretty rich off his idea from taxi and rent a car companies buying them all day long. They are pricey at $300-400 depending onn how many you buy, but is 99.9% effective in finding your stuff, and works a over US without any interference. I think I wi get one, cuz I catch myself 3-5 times a week thinking how I need one. I'll park my 53 chevy pickup on my street over sight sometimes, or my toy hauler on the street sometimes, or rhino at Glamis just chained to my trailer (you never know), or don't trust your spouse ( not a problem I have, but maybe she should put one in mine!!! It'd say I'm at work all the time!) lol.... Good stuff though! One quik call to the cops, and your thief is behind bars, and you re-cooped your own goods in minutes!

If you have more info about that tracking device be sure to post up a new thread about it,.. that sounds pretty cool.

I am going to get that alarm this week.

Sounds good, you should find out more info. I might be interested, you should get a head count on everyone that wants one or two and have our own bulk buy and save $$$$$. Anyway as soon as I scan this thing I will send everyone a copy.

Hopefully that 'contact member' went through to him. I would like an alarm too!! It looks easy to hook up! Hopefully....
Speaking of hooking things up, I just got that column mount turn signal control thing w/ built in Hazard light knob. Anyone ever hook one of those up?? I wonder how easy/ hard that is...
