So i'm replacing the wet clutch on my 2012 rhino and the video I was watching said left to loosen but I guess mine is right to loosen. Stripped the nut and shaft. Im guessing replacing the shaft (not sure what its called because I can't find the part) involves splitting the case. I was thinking of using a dye and rethread it. Anyone can you help me with the right size? I've never done it before.

Friend said if I can find the right size and clean up threads, he can Braze the threads to hold better. I was thinking if I can get some bite on the thread with the nut, I could put a couple tack welds to hold the nut on.

Any help and suggestions are welcome. I'm so depressed right now. I was hoping it was just gonna be simple and would be riding around today. Ugh.

I feel your pain! I would absolutely make every attempt possible to clean up those threads before resorting to replacing the "shaft". Any machine shops in your area? Maybe they could help?
