Im looking to put a stock speedometer in my rhino. I have a 06 that came without the speedometer and i really want to add a stock unit. How bad is it to swap or will it be a plug and play unit? I dont like it not having one and when i ride at night its pitch black dark in the rhino

If you buy a nib unit from a dealership it will come with the correct sender for the temperature light...

If you get a used one and no sender you will have get the correct one...

Some of the wiring harnesses have some kinda problem with connections for dash...and I think it was the 06s that were funky...you might have to make sure the part no. for the digi-dash is correct...

I had a customer ran into a problem also when you bought a stock cdi it was not the right one and wouldn't work with his digi-dash...

So I would be very careful if you buy used...and if you buy new from dealer make sure they guarantee it works with your harness and cdi...

Most likely you have no problems...install is easy...

One from an 07...

Odds are in your favor you will be fine but if it doesn't work at least you have an idea why and not blame the person you bought it from...and it's a good thing your read it or your temp light would be on full time... :)

haha yea i wouldnt blame the seller.... i been on forums for years with 4wheelers trucks cars and motorcycles i know how it works.. im just glad i know there might be a possible problem. If i dont have the right sending unit the temp light will just stay on?

Correct it will stay on...and you don't have the correct sending unit...

It's actually not even a sending unit...it is a thermal switch...

There is a recent thread in the electrical section where I explained it in detail...

Check it out...

Or just order an 07 switch...you cannot go wrong with 07...

Well it looks like the wiring is different between 06 and 07 because only one of the plugs on the 07 will plug into my harness.. The other two are different unless I'm missing somthing but I can't find any other plugs

You need a hot sheave to take you mind off of it...think of it this way...do want the digital display to tell you how slow you are or would you rather have to focus on where you are going so fast...

Plug and play...fact... :)

Buy Hot Rod 660 Sheave with od weights and sliders online at RuttingRhino.com

Sorry I was right about your speedo...hoped you would get lucky...didn't mean to jinx by telling you to be careful which year speedo you were getting...

However...with the sheave...luck will have nothing to do with it...

You might consider the vapor computer if you can't find a good deal on a digi-dash...

I have both...the vapor has some advantages...but I do like the digi-dash a lot...

In order to sell your 07 digi-dash you need to find the facts on exactly whats what so you can make sure the guy you sell yours to doesn't wind up in your boat...

The nice thing about the 07 tho is it does have a fuel gauge which no other year digi-dash has...

So as long as they have the right plugs it should be easy to sell...but no one with an 07 is going to need it due the fact they came standard from the factory in 07...
