At night running around with 3 hid lights on the rhino starts spuddering when the voltage gets to about 10 volts. Is this a sign of a bad battery. The rhino will die if I try to keep going. I sit a minute or two and it will start up again and go. Thats with the lights off. I usually can run around all night with the lights on. Thanks for help in this matter.

Anytime your battery voltage is below 12.7 under load while being charged it is being drained...

Not all HID lights have the same power consumption...if they are 35W HIDs then three of them are 105W which...theoretically would not drain the battery...

The power budget for the stock vehicle for accessories is 110W... so with a perfectly good stock stator and voltage regulator and battery you should be able to add 110W of additional power and not drain battery while motor is running...
