04s have a smaller diameter nut on the stub axles, inner cvs are all different on 660s front to rear and side to side...but all stub axles are the same from 05-07........700s have the same stub axles but I think they centered the differentials for the 700s so they could standardize the inner cvs from one side to the other(correct me if Im wrong) Im on my 9th 660 rhino but have never owned a 700,but thats just what I noticed on my buddys FI rhinos, will be able to tell ya for sure come middle of the week..

can you take the diffs from a 660 and put them in a 700 and use the 660 arms and axles

i think all the frame tabs are moved over and or changed to fit the 700s diffs, which I think are the same externally as the 660s, I think yamahas reasoning was to center the diffs that way they could use the same axles and cvs on both sides,to save a few bucks on manufacturing costs...so I think you'd have to cut all your old brackets off and then open another can of worms, just sell your axles and buy the right ones....what brand axles do u have anyways????????

long story, but the deal is, i have a 660 with a lonestar 6.5 lt kit, and a 700 with a 6 in lt kit, i want to put the lonestar on the 700 and the 6 in on the 660, i have a guy that has the right axles that he wants to swap, but then i need some 660 plus 6 axles, so i wanted to see if there was any way to make it work. or if someone wants to trade some 700 + 6 axles for a set of 660 + 6 axles

you cant make it work without getting new or used axles ,I have new axles for sale if you need them no trades
