Try an auto parts store. They should have something close and a hell of a lot cheaper than Yamaha.

Ditto, what a screwed up design. When I go to purchase these from an auto parts store, do I need more than one size? So far they appear to be mostly the same size.

i get mine at lowes . the ones for nissians or toyotas work pretty good, gm s work real well they just have a big head

where are they located at lowes and what are they called

I dont know what there called but im going to check Lowes also. When you go to the misc. hardware section. They have a bunch of pull out drawers youcant miss them thats where they have nuts,bolts,screws door latches ect. and they also have the picture on there thats where they should be if Lowes has them. I might get there this weekend.and i`ll let ya know for sure.

i used blue rawl plugs(hollow wall anchors) and then screwed a #8 by half inch stainless panhead screw into them they hold good

check on ebay for the seller that has sold alot of these, he ships very quick and they are better then the stock ones, you can unscrew them without striping the head. the second time i ordered from him, he sent me two extra bags of rivets for free.

Just a FYI, the Lowes in my local area had these. In the nuts and bolts section in the drawers marked automotive. They had several sizes, unfortunately I did not have a Yamaha rivet with me to compare, but the ones I thought would fit were 2 to a package @ $1.29 Still pretty expensive IMHO. I ordered from Majesticman on Ebay, 60 count for $17.88 or about .30 a pop and they appear to fit.
