Im looking at getting new wheels and tires for my new to me 09 700 Rhino. It is stock but I plan on adding a Hot rod sheave soon when I get the wheels and tires on. it has Delta wheel and Itp Mud Lite 27x10x12 on front and 27x12x12 on the rear. I ride trails here in west TN with some mud and hill climbing. Here are my options.

DWT Diablo True Beadlocks 12"
Zilla 27x9x12 front & 27x11x12 Rear
or
Zilla 27x11x12 on all corners

Which tire combo would be best for my terrain?
What offsets on the wheels should I get for these two setups?
Any other options be better with Zillas? I am not opposed to 26"

any ideas and pics would be great, Thanks

Imo i wouldent go any bigger than 26. I think the wheels you chose are a great buy for the money. Hit up dbestduner on hear his name is Dan i think he can get you the wheels you are lookin at. As far as the tires l would stick to 25 or no bigger than 26 but that is my opinion........ Only tires i have had are stock and og bighorns so i cant say how the zillas are. I ride bout the same stuff you do and the bighorns are great very happy with them. Have around 1700 miles on them and have more than half the tread left and lots of road miles. But i have read lots of good stuff about the zillas also! I have non beadlock diablos in 4+3 and that offset works good. Sorry for the ramble just tryin to help.

Thanks for the info. Do you have any pics of your Rhino with the Diablo wheels on. I would like to see how a camo one looks as that ios what I have.

Hello Neighbor! Ever Ride Pickett?

I have the 12" Black Diablo Beadlocks and love them, I just got in a set of GBC's Dirt Commanders. I hope they hold up as good as their grim reapers because I feel for the riding we do the Grim Reaper is the best I have tried to-date... And I don't baby my bike..

If I were you I would stay with 26's but try to find a tire that measures true or if the tire measures short go with the 27's.. The Grim Reapers measure right at 26 mounted... I will mount the Dirt Commanders this week and see what they measure..

Never rode Pickett but i'm up for it. I have 27 Mud Lites and they measure 26" so if the Zilla's are true 26, that would put me where I am now with a little over 20lbs less weight for the 4 Zilla's. There is only a little over a lb difference in the Zilla 26 and 27 for a set of 4 so weight wouldnt matter if I went with 27s. What makes the 26s a better size over the 27s? Just wondering, everybody seems to say 25 and 26.

27 inch tall tires just bog the machine a little more and raise your center of gravity slightly.. I prefer a 26inch tall tire (actual height) they offer sufficient ground clearance without putting to much more stress on axles and such.. 25" tires are fun to play but bottom out a little easier so I would rather stay away from them for the most part... I got three sets of tires, the MudBoss's in 26, The Moapa's in 25, and now the Dirt Commanders in 26"..

How you liken the Mud Lites? I always thought they were a little soft for my tastes and to easy to puncture.. I generally prefer a tight treaded tire over a mud tire for our style of riding. A mud tire leaves to much room between the lugs making them easier to puncture on the trails.

We will be riding Pickett this coming Saturday if you want to join us?

Ive been running the Mud lites for over a year with no issues except when I was running low pressure and got some dirt between the bead and rim on a gulley. Other than that they ride good and go great in the mud. They are a little soft and wont last long on the asphalt. I'll look and see how far you guys are from us. Always up for new ride. with all the deer hunting here there are not a lot of places to ride this time of year.
