I bought a 2006 Yamaha rhino 660 and it won’t stay on at times, sometimes it will start right up and run fine but some days it won’t stay on for long and it back fires. I’ve never done anything to it but when I bought it the previous owner told me it was swapped from a carburetor to efi. Also the filter leaks out fuel as well at times please help!

I had a similar issue. One day running fine, next day backfiring, stalling. Let it sit for a few minutes it’d start, but as soon as you tried to increase rpm, backfiring, missing. Started by checking air filter, it was ok. Gas was fresh, premium no ethanol. Fuel filter was loaded with crap, bugs, dirt. Changed that, been fine ever since. I did wind up pulling the fuel tank to make sure there was no more debris.

Thanks bro cleaners the air filter and cleaned out the jets now it’s running great. Still have backfire but I think it’s from exhaust leak.
