I was getting into the rev limiter on my rhino 700 EFI. I installed an MSD CDI by doing this and getting rid of the rev limiter does this cause the reverse light to stay on while driving in H gear?

The MSD CDI is set on zero since my Rhino is bone stock.

Thank you!

MSD ON RHINO 700 efi

WHAT WOULD MAKE THE REVERSE LIGHT STAY ON? Should I up the unit from 0 to 1? I was told by installing this MSD CDI that it would eliminate the reverse light coming on when I get into the rev limiter.

Thanks...

I don't think that will change anything. I have no idea why your reverse light is on, hopefully someone else can jump in and tell you what is going on.

The MSD Charge has nothing to do with the reverse light that I know of. It eliminates the rev limiter in reverse, but nothing to do with the reverse light.

where did you get your msd ? i got mine from hunter works , and is pre programmed and had it for 2 yrs and no issues at all, but the msd should have no effect on reverse lite, just make sure its for a rhino and not a grizzly if its possible to be swapped.

I was told by a mechanic that putting on the cdi on a f.i. motor would damage it by leaning out the motor during hi rpm. what say you guys.
On a stock motor the only setting to use is ( 0 ) on the msd. All it does is remove the rev limit. But if you start using the other setting than yes you can lean your motor out and cause engine damage. All maps on the msd are base line starting points to tune your engine except for ( 0 ) and valet mode. Also some venders in stall maps on a MSD ECU it all depends on who you bought it from. Hope this helps.
