Hello everyone New to the site, but Ive been a member of gizzlycentral.net for the longest time, I just traded my grizz for a rhino. Here why I pulled the motor out.

No low range, Wet clutch junk and stator not charging correctly.

Previous owner didn't tell me all this when the trade went down, but I knew it needed some work.

pulled motor out and tore it all down, to find that they took the 5 allen caps out of the flywheel thinking it just unbolted and wasn't pressed on, but they left them all loose and the flew into the stator and that's what caused my charging issue, lol.

Low range was on backwards so that's why it didn't work.

I also found that they had just put a hot rods crank and rod in it and a weisco Teflon coated piston in this thing, Im going to reassemble the bottom end tonight and hopefully get some parts in soon!!

Welcome! Glad to hear you got it all figured out.

I recently rebuilt my motor and had the low range gear in backwords as well...what a pain in the ass. Good thing is I can now pull a motor, strip it and have it back in and running in about 8 hours. Hopefully I don't have to do that again any time soon.
