Todd from HRT wins every time. NO way around that! Good job Todd!!!, and the owner of FUNCO's son Chad dominated like a muther trucker in stock with a bone stock rhino with no bed on it and replacement KINGS. He took 1st and took home $250 cash on his 1st time ever racing. He has no plans to upgrade the rhino anymore. He love it the way it is....

As for SO CAL FAB, my kit held up well. I talked to THAD earlier today, and he's complimentary sending me a set of his new clevis's for the rack side of the tie rods, cuz I welded my old ones on due to them bending at the 12mm bolt at the rack. New ones are machined. He's also working with somebody on getting the internal shaft for the stock rack and pinions (which is what alwasys break 1st before destroying the housing. The new ones you'll be able to hopefully buy will be made of extra heat treated 4340 cromolly steel. I had an idea to brace one side with the other clevis with a cross brace upper and lower that pushes and pulls with the rack going left to right. It would also give me a chance to experiment with a possible steer stabilizer off of that as well, or maybe hydraulic assist steer as well.....

While I had him on the phone, I also asked about his machined spindles that correct steering geometry to work in conjunction with his kit, but $900 a set though, and 2 weeks out! Sucks ass! The spindles look sick, but I'm up in the air wether I want those or SCF's 2 doors down neighbor HRT (lasercut and tig welded spindles). I've seen one break already at the track though, but that yello rhino hucks hard over everything....

looks like unless I find a used rack and spindle (drivers side), i ain't going to glamis for pres day..... u guys that have shop buddies, please put in a call for me and see if you find anything!!!! thats all i need!!!! thx

Looks like John's racingdays are over or numbered. He breaks expensive parts everytime, and has to get pushed up on a trailer with both rhinos he brings.
As for me, I love it, and I finally just got over the fear factor of it with enough practice time, having my shocks dialed in, and my new ACI exhaust, courtesy of Jeff from rhino mafia!. (His rhino flipped and broke I guess) Dunno the skinny on it, but saw it turned over....

I was pulling on everybody off the line! Got in 1st plce till I stuffed the front end and lost 2 spots, then maintained a steady 3rd place with no one behind me for a while til I broke it and watched everyone pass me. Coulda had 3rd place trophy! I was thinking "just don't make any mistaked from here, and was also thinking "slow is fast", but I couldn't resist the 60 footer!!!!! but took my ranking right there.

Dude my rhino freakin rips off the line!!!! I'll have to get a lil video up later tonight!

WANTED: FRONT DRIVER STOCK SPINDLE, STOCK RACK AND PINION.... PLEASE NOTIFY ME IF YOUR HOME BOY OR LOCAL SHOP HAS ONE OF EACH I CAN BUY AND PAY SHIPPING ON TO MAKE IT TO GLAMIS!!!!

I saw a 4 seater with seat out. If you care about getting a scratch on ypu rhino though, don't even think about it! You're bound to flip, roll, and lose control! Not to mention break everything once or twice! Just how it is over there. Not everyone finishes races due to breakage. It sure is fun though!
