do you have to disconnect all the wires (under hood) in order to tighten up is it a nut like older cars had where it tightens so right now the key and ignition assembly just turn so i can not start unless i lift hood and ry to hold back side of ignition assembly while turnig key lots of wire connected there and cant really see how its supposed to work
Mine has done that a couple of times as well. The plastic nut on the key side backs off from time to time...just hold it from the backside w/one hand (make sure it's in the "slot"), and tighten the nut w/your other hand. If you use pliers, it shouldn't come loose any more.
A really simple fix...with over 70 views of your post...I don't know why someone hasn't already chimed in for ya !
