Hello all I've just purchased a 2006 YXR660F. And as all anal people first I'm changing all fluids, cleaning and learning about the beast. So far I'm not to happy with myself because I'm finding some things I should have checked more carefully, cracked CV boot on inside of rt rear axel. Fluids were wrong color and smelled worse than ASS. Front differential had about 1/4 cup of grease in it. Now my question after my admission of stupidity, on 2 wheel drive on a sharp turn it feels like differential lock is on but not indicated on idiot lights, is this normal or am I once again spanked ? Hope the group is gentle to the new guy. THANKS

The rear is always locked. Pretty typical with all utvs. It’s a huge upgrade to have the ability to unlock the rear on these kinds of machines. They’ll use fancy terms like “turf mode”

Just take it easy on sharp turns on asphalt and all will be well
