Im working on the bosses rhino, They complained it was running fine all day, then they parked it for lunch, came back out and it wouldnt start. I went out to pick it up, and it fired right up. I trailered it back to my shop, Started fine again. Pulled it in the shop, it sat overnight and this morning I started it, It ran for about 10 seconds, and died. Now it wont start at all.
I tested for fuel, disconnected the fuel line, turned the key on, and fuel pump is working as it should.
I pulled the spark plug, replaced it with a new one, and tested it against the frame to check for spark. *No Spark!
Now this is where I need help, I searched this forum before I joined, and got a few ideas on what to check for.
-Battery- Good, 12-13 Volts ... It also Cranks over just fine, just no start
-Key switch, I can hear the contacts click when turned to start position.
-The spark plug cap, I tested for resistance, and it did have resistance, I believe it was 10.3 ohms? cant remember off hand...
-Read that if you think the stator may be bad, disconnect the regulator / rectifier and it will spark. Still no spark.
-Now I put my meter on both sides of the coil, and its getting 12 Volts.
I disconnected the wires that come off the stator, Can someone tell me what wires to test (and how to test them) to determine if this is my problem?
Does anyone have any other idea's?
Thanks in advance!
