Hi,
I’m looking to take a UTV/ATV trip where we ride 4-6 days and camp out on the trail. Does anyone know of any place like this within 8-10 hour drive to Chicago? I’ve been told there might be places in Canada.

Thanks
John

You could ride at Windrock, Brimstone and the North Cumberland WMA.

We've been to Brinmstone a few times, and also to Harlan KY. Isen't wind rock near Brimestone?
But I don't think eather location alows overnight camping out on the trail. I've heard theres a place in Canada where you bring yourride and load them up on a train. The train takes you our and you ride back. You can leave the trails and get a hotel. Or just tent it and sleep out on the trials. But I don't know the name of the place. Also if I could I'd rather try to find something in the states first.

I am leading a group of 20 to the north rim of the Grand Canyon May 2nd to the 9th! All meals and accommodations included!
About 120 per person per night and hundreds of miles of great trails in the wests most isolated place! Tomcav and his wife are going and we have 6 spots open!

Reed: My wife is already packing her bags... We want to go !

Please let me know how to secure a spot, logistics, minimum set-up requirements and the provisioning plan(s) !

As a potential add-on 'Summer of Fun', we may connect this trip to our 40 acres just below the 4-corners and up into the White Mountains.

I've personally done this in all seasons at Evarts, Windrock, and Brimstone. It's a great time and I will be doing it again in January. One of my Ranger buddies and I have been doing this for years - if you're an avid outdoorsman and have lots of experience, try it in the winter!

Papa Bears trip looks awesome. You can also check out the Alpine Loop in Colorado. Its a must do in your lifetime! Mother Natures finest work. We go every year and am looking forward to this next years trip. Do a search on this forum, lots of info with pics.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Papa Bear,
Is there drop offs on this trip. It looks great but one of the guys does not care for hights. So if this around the top edge and there are drop offs they might be a uncomfortable.

It is the Grand Canyon, so yes there are "Drop offs" but I like to live and safety is number one so we make sure we don't drive off them or walk off them;) It is a thrill, but nothing too challenging even for a beginner!
