lower gear

I clutch is one way .... smaller tires the other.
I realize a smaller clutch diameter would slow things down. anyone do this? splitting the case and installing lower gearing will do it to but I don't want to do that.

Smaller clutch is not an option. Change the secondary spring and the primary weights. Best bet is to call Todd at hunterworks a vendor on here, he won't lead you wrong.

I can vouch for that, Brian's 20 years younger than me, but after flowing me around for 4 years he's starting to drive in a sane fashion....:grin

No, because the gears are offset, but I bet it is only about 4 inches.
I would like to see if they could be modified and twisted 45 degrees so they lift 2" and move forward and rearward 2" (or whatever it comes to)

I was thinking like a small planetary gear on the driveline. I have seen small gearboxes for pickups for towing that work on the driveshaft.

I don't know how durn slow you want to go, but with 25" tires, a machined clutch and the purple secondary spring, you aren't gonna have a speed demon on your hands in Lo
thanks
I was just out on my trail and I got up to 9mph but usually travel just above walking speed . 3 mph my rhino was much better than the new stock Viking that I have.
the Viking clutch engages about 3 or on mine anyway. looks like I may have to just live with what I have.

a heavy load of firewood and going on my trails is hard on it.
