good luck buddy, dont ask HW too many questions. Congratulations, you just bought a poor little boy some shoes. Call JBS "Hot Rod James" when you need more performance. Drink some Kool-Aid, we all have our favorites...

Why are you being sarcastic to rampage11? He's asking a question. Most of what your saying probably doesn't make sense to most of the members anyway.

They come both ways...

Some of the 660 cam plate clips (grease less cam plate sliders) for the 660 don't re-use the metal bands and others do...

The 700 do not use the metal bands...

I have sent them out all three ways to 660 owners...

If they bought a package when the 660 cam plate clips were not available that included a new cam plate I sent them out with 700 cam plates and 700 clips...the cam plates are slightly different but work the same...

But it they didn't get a cam plate then I send them the ones that re-use the oem metal bands...because they are taking it apart to re-use the cam plate anyway...

More recently if someone buys a package with a cam plate and I have the 660 clips that don't need the metal bands I send them that out so the customer doesn't have to deal with the old stuff...

It mostly depends on what parts are in available at the time...

The all work fine...

Hope that clears it up the confusion and why some say you need the metal bands and others say you don't...

All three ways are correct and work fine...

I am not a fan of the shim mod...not saying don't do it...but I won't use one...and won't sell one...refuse to endorse it...I just take what I get from the sheave machined for lower gearing from a stop...too each his own...you can add a shim to any sheave...it will give you lower gearing...

The rules are posted on the site, but I don't think there is one against being a ****. I was just wondering why you were being a JA when he was asking about the clips on the greaseless sliders for the 660. If you don't know the answer to his question then why post? If you feel that strongly about who's sheave he uses why don't you PM him and share your opinion with him directly. If you are some kind of drama queen that needs an audience, I'm sure there are other forums that would suit you better. You'll need to do a search though, because I don't know of any.
