Does anyone know what's different about the shocks on a Special Addition model ? I had one go bad and an OEM shock is $200 or more. Other then the high dollar brands no one makes a replacement for it just the base models.

The Special Editions are interchangeable with the base shocks. They have a remote reservoir and are considered better all around than base model (except in purchase price). Best bet is to find a used SE, but I know there are shock places that can rebuild special edition shocks (some might even be better than new if you believe the hype)

Hmmm... I thought the 07 SE would have the reservoir shocks. In any event I would still check with Intro2rhino on a used one. It might be a good bet to replace them as a pair or a good opportunity to upgrade to the reservoir shocks. I have seen complete used sets of the SE reservoir shocks under $400.
