Whats up guys!

We're making some changes to the forums this week, and I want to get some opinions from members here. We're going to load up a vBulletin style board soon. Reasons being that one, they're much easier to navigate from a users perspective. Two, we'll be able to add sponsor banners, forum logos, and making a nice looking home page with a lot of content will be quite a bit easier!

I would also like to know how you guys like the current color scheme. I personally like a dark background with light text. I know there are some who have a hard time reading text like this so we'll be adding different styles that users can change to their preferences.

If you guys want to cruise through some of the sites that offer different vBulletin forum skins and post your thoughts here, feel free to do so.

I would also like to consolidate some of the sub foums to make it seem a little more "focused" instead of only having a few topics in each of the forums......... Suggestions are welcome

Hey Brian at first I did not like the dark background, but
I have gotten ues to it. My only suggestion would be an easier
way to upload pics and videos for some of us that aren't so good
with this computer crap.

Everything about this site is great! I passed out a boat load of those cards last weekend and people really seemed interested.

We are glad to hear the comments guys! I know I have put a lot of time and effort into this site and I couldn't be happier to see the member list growing and to hear your comments! We really appreciate the positive feedback! As Brian said, we will be upgrading the board to vBulletin to make you guys happy and make everything a little easier for you. Help us by spreading the word and getting as many folks as possible on board!

Also, we sincerely appreciate creative criiticism. So don't feel bad to say this sucks or that could be better. These forums are for you, so we want to tailor the site to your needs. I have no doubt we can be the biggest Rhino community on the net!

Hey Brian, whatever you do dont change the color scheme. We do need to do something about some of the buttons that are hard to read and more emoticons would be good, other than that, this place rocks !

I will give you my honest opinion here....

This forum seems pretty cool ...... I think the buttons needs to be larger and easier to tell when new post have been posted ...... I think something similar to BRP or even Glamis Dunes would be cool....

Everybody seems to like the Emoticons so more of those would be cool .... Glamis Dunes has a pretty cool selection .....

I think a member status program similar to Glamis Dunes would also be cool ....... you know how they rate each member according to how many post they have or how long they have been a member ........

Other than those few suggestions this forum seems pretty cool.... Well actually if you didnt make any changes it is still cool .... If you were to choose one I would go with the buttons .... they are kind of small and hard to tell when there is a new post .......

Congratualations it seems like it is starting to take off ..... you are doing a pretty good job of marketing it .....

Keep marketing it .... Go really hard right now .... with the BRP Forum down this is the time to grow this forum ......

Here is my suggestion...

In order to keep people coming back you have to make them feel like they have some sort of ownership with the site. The GlamisDunes one does this with their rating system and also the ability to customize in many ways their profile. Also lots of their smileys are named after board members there for one reason or another.

Hey Brian, I never really hear about this forum when I'm at the track, but I bring it up and let people know, and I'm always out there, so PM me if you want to send me some flyers and stickers in the mail, and I'll get the attention of some of the enthusiasts on this side of town. There are a lot of rhino enthusiast around here that are clueless of where to go to get enlightened on what questions they have in regards to their new found hobby as well. Keep up the bitchin work! Brian, only been here a couple days, but noticed the site lags a lot. Usually when I am reading a page MR. O has posted on. I think it is his sig gif. It is using too much memory. Can you ask him to take that advertising down.

Seriously it lags though. Only seems to do it when there are animated GIFs on the page. Some of them won't even hardly play right. Just trying to scroll the page it won't respond.

I know that having multiple posts on a page might cause issues that are dependent on the home users computer and their connection to the internet.

Did you experience this issue at BRPs forums when I had my sig up?

I know I have been saying I was going to change my sig image... I just havent got around to it... too many side projects.

I was just jerking your chain Michael. It is not just your sig. No, GD.com nor BRP did it. I am pretty sure it is not my connection since I am at work (Intel Corp). I don't surf much at home, but have Cox High Speed there.
