just bought a 2011 700 FI, and can't get more than 40 mph out of it. At that speed, the engine feels like it has a governer on it, or the valves start floating. Any help would be great!

It does have a maximum speed governor built into it, around 40 mph............the cdi controls it...........

That is what I have and reprogramed it to my standards, top speed is now 106kmph which is about 63mph............

MSD is good for the 700 and Dynatek for the 660. but also get JBS setup, you will see a huge difference with that and the MSD

Buy the jbs hot rod sheave first, you should see around 50 mph before the governor kicks in. Then buy the msd. I have both, the sheave gave me a lot more gains, low mid and high end. The msd just took the governor away.
