That f**ken sucks! Whata puck! I would have been heated! :aargh4:Hope I did not miss anyone at Dove Springs. I had a lifted F150 sponsored by the Metal Mulitia and RockStar with extreme offset tires blow by me in the fast lane on the 14 doing about 90mph throw a rock up and shatter my driver side window. It was about 6am and 36 degrees with the wife and my 2yr old boy sleeping. It sounded like a 9mm going off. I had to turn around and go home, a nice 230 mile loop. Bottom line, get mud flaps if that is how you roll and slow down, its the law! Too bad I was towing cus my 9mm might have gone off!
That is a great story, thanks for sharing. I have two questions that come to mind, would I want to see that again and laugh my ass off, or would I never go back to avoid that BS? I try to camp away from all the BS so I dont have ask myself those questions, but I will tell you I plan on being on the 14 before 6am so I miss the metal mulitia crew-they should still be in bed!I went to Dove Springs for the first tyme last year and its a cool spot close to home.
We first got there at 3 am and while we were trying to find camp we came across an intersection only to find a 50 year man drunk off his ass with his quad on top of him. I jumped outta my buddies truck, flipped the quad over and he could barley talk. He had broken bone for sure. He said he was down for about an hour and his son was driving around like a mad man in his truck and would fly right by us til we were able to flag him down. They were all drunk. Since then I don't drink and ride - so dangerous!
Hahaha sorry to Hyjack this thread - I just remembered about this situation! LOL
Yeah man. That old gizzer was luck I saw him cus he was right by a bush and a lil reflector just catch my eye and we whipped around and sure enough it was a drunk with a quad on him! The guy was smart enough to have his gear on but not smart enough to know not to drink and ride at 3 am! LOLThat is a great story, thanks for sharing.
