It was "tucked" in the corner (air box side) of the battery box on mine (08 as well)...it's not a very expensive part...if...your local dealer has it in stock. It wasn't in stock , so I just replaced it w/a fusible link instead. If you have been through very much deep mud, I am gonna say the link is not the only thing that is bad. I'd guess your fan has gotten mud in it not letting it kick on like it should (thus making the thermal switch get hot)...you can try taking it off and spraying wd-40 in it and draining it out...works for some; but, not for me...I had to buy a new fan!! I would strongly suggest a temp gauge and a fan overide switch (UTV Inc. and Black-Rhino both sell them on here in a "kit" form). That way you KNOW how hot you are; and, can turn the fan on when YOU want to !!
