So I picked up this 06, Rhino 660 in June, got it home started cleaning it up. It sat for approx 1 1/2-2 years with untreated cheap fuel, and had a dead battery. I pulled and cleaned the tank, then had to go do my part time job July till September.
I got home and installed a new battery, so now I can see it has 200.7 original hours and 1,237 miles. Doesn’t seem like a lot of usage. Put 5 gallons of Ethanol Free Supreme, with sea foam and Stability storage in it. ( checked and changed the fluids) no fuel pump pressure at all. So..... talking with a local retired Powersports Mechanic, he has some thoughts, we’re going to do, and I’ll post it up on here. Hopefully with great results.
I was going to get an electric fuel pump, but with my expected usage, of lots of idle time, putting around the Ranch and trails here, he suggested a better quality fuel pump, as I don’t need high pressure, and installing a “burp” tank, with a recovery fuel line back to the fuel tank. Of course new or rebuilt carb. Parts, labor etc under $200. All the parts are here, we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully I’ll be out driving it in s day or so.

Here’s a couple pics of the little burp tank. It’s actually a tank from a HSUN, that works great on the rhino. It keeps the extra fuel moving and cool, as it returns any extra to the fuel tank, and just lightly feeds the carb so it doesn’t have too much pressure as some electric fuel pumps do. Cost of new carburetor, fuel pump, burp tank, filter and all new fuel lines just about $100.

Just a follow up on how the auxiliary burp tank and fuel return line have worked.
The Rhino starts instantly, without having to crank and crank to get fuel to the carb. It’s cool out now so the fuel return line won’t have any effect on vapor lock, but it still releases excess pressure on the carb needed and seat.
