Where did you get that info and when did it take effect? There are no changes to the law published on the Game and Fish or Service AZ websites. I doubt the state would do anything the loose money and make there job more difficult.

I drive on the street up here all the time but most of the time it is to get to the forest from my house.

FYI, I just registered a quad for it's first time today and I verified with the lady at DMV that it is the same procedure as it has been. She said that they are trying to make the OHV sticker easier to get like a fishing license. So in the future, you might be able to get the OHV sticker at your local Walmart, Big 5 etc. etc.. But for now, everything is the same as it was before. Buy the OHV sticker and get an RV plate or buy the OHV sticker and MC plate if street legal.

Have you needed an emissions test for UTV's? Curious what they say about motor swaps or if they don't notice.

I went to re-register on service arizonas website and it looks like my 06 rhino does not require emissions testing......yet.

My motorcycle test is very basic compared to a car. FYI, Maricopa county is the only county in the country that makes motorcycles test. Hopefully the new change's brewer is proposing will eliminate it.

They don't care what engine you have. Think of all the Heeps that guys swap Chevy drive trains into.

Registration for street use is about $4 a year. We still drive on the street out here.

Had to get the emissions test on my 06 & so did another friend of mine on his 06
All they did was an idle test, they did not look at anything else or ask the motor size.
Same thing on his
As long as your idle circuit is good you should have no problems

(HC) in PPM Idle standard is 1800
(CO) in % Idle standard is 5.50

My 06 is over due for emission testing. That a wholle different story...Anyway...It is an idle only test and yes you still need the regular registration for street use. I am to understand that you can get a discount if you claim a bigger percentge of off road use.

after your emission test get your OHV sticker first and choose the option that you use it mostly offroad. Then when you renew your MC registration they don't charge you the normal registration fee. On your 06 it should save you maybe $60.00 to $80.00 . My first year I saved over $125.00.
