I have a utv alternator kit and a 660....can I just run it straight to the stock battery and run with it? Dont have a stereo, don't leave my stuff on while its parked...all I want the kit for is to power an led lightbar and some hids and still get me back to camp...I shut it all off when we stop...I don't want the second battery because of the weight and more crap on my rhino is a bad thing, I want it simple....have any of u guys just ran them to the stock battery and had luck....thanks,cameron..

You should be fine to just use the stock battery. If I were you I would get a bigger battery to take advantage of the alternators ability to keep it charged.

I agree. But I did run an alternator kit with the stock battery for a while without issues.
The alternator puts out 60 amps. Run it to the stock or auxilary battery, any one you want 60 amps of output charging power to run to. It will over ride the stock stator and charger the stock battery or an auxilary one. Either way you cannot go wrong.

What is an alternator kit? Can you point me to find out about it?
Go to the utv inc web site or Google Rhino Alternator Kit.
