ok so i went over to Uwaharrie today and got a squealing noise from the front left wheel now. and a clicking from the back left and i think the back right too when turning and when going over bumps. another noise is when i go over a abrupt large bump the rear differential makes a loud rough clank, it makes a shaking/ deep rattle noise ONLY in high range but not in low from the lower engine/clutch area. its a pain to get it in low, almost impossible for reverse. On the snorkel, what is required other than the snorkel for deep mud and water. any electrical mods or anythin? thanks
well sounds like you have front wheel bearings out, some axles clicking, probably need to service the diff and see if its any good, service the clutches and do a once over on everything else...
as far as snorkles go, you run 2" into the air box, and for the cvt inlet and return, Dielectric grease pretty much everything and make sure its all sealed before you enter water.. I take my shop vac. remover the drain plug on the housing, and blow air in the system, slightly closing the other side off and spray soapy water over everything.... for the air intake, I do the same
allrite, sounds like a trip to Yamaha. i have the tubing on the snorkel all worked out, just wondering if it will need any other mods for mud and water.
ok so heres 2 more q's. is the clicking noise from the back cv's normal? i thought it said on there site snorkels all vents
