I have a 450 and it has been great, now if I lived near were there were dunes a 660 may do the trick, however my father in law has a stock 660 and I can go absolutely anywere he can go. His stock is also maybe a couple of miles per hour faster and that's about it. He actually always asked why he spent the extra money. The 450 is also geared down 18% lower to make up for it's lack of displacement, so believe me it will hold it's own, People are very surprised to see how well it really does.

I have owned both.07 450 and now 07 660 Yes, in certain conditions the 420 will do whatever the 660 will. I put 440 trouble free miles on the 450 in six months with no problems. But on the occasion my buddy and I would get on a straight................his 660 would reel me in. For me, I knew I had made a mistake when I bought the 450 ,so six-months later at about a 2500 dollar loss, I got rid of it and got the 660 . If you are the least-bit performance minded-get the 660 or 700.
I agree the trails is were it will shine the wide open areas not so much, it depends on your terrain, like I said dunes definetly 660, and actually I would go with the 700, I have the grizzly 700 and it's an awesome motor, I feel that this new 700 is a very reliable engine!
