Tire Wheel Snow Vehicle Car

We as the title says, I have a 2013 700fi se that seems to be hitting a limiter at about 30mph..

As far as I'm aware it's all stock. But bought it used about 5 years ago from a local dealership on a lean sale. said they basically did an engine rebuild and customer never paid for the work in the end. But as far as what was done, never got any paperwork on the build. In California too, if that makes any difference. I know they are more strict with some specs.

Has lots of power and dosent seem to be slowing down since ive had it. Runs strong. But just mostly been a farm workhorse and haven't needed any more top end. But now looking into upgrades. Another 10-20mph would be nice.

Any advice greatly appreciated..

What Sandbuster said. New sheave, clutch, change out the stock CDI and replace with an aftermarket one to get rid of the limiter, fuel/ignition module, the list is endless. But changing the sheave and CDI will give you the easiest gains.

Got a sheave on order.
As far as the cdi... from what I can tell the dynojet "power commander v" is the only one that works in the 2012-13 model?
If so for somereason. It's illegal in California and won't ship to a California addres. At least from the main site.

yes, if you’re in Cali you’re kind of screwed as the emission laws don’t allow for tuner mods. I had a Power Commander and it worked good until it didn’t. I recently bought a far better one from a company in Canada. It’s called VDI Copperhead. It’s an actual ECU that replaces the stock CDI and works way better than my Procomm CDI and Power Commander. Check out their website. Velocity Devices. Not sure if they have one for 2012-2013 but I’m sure you can ask.

Add one item to the list that you will actually appreciate - Power Steering! I spent hundreds on my 2012 trying to etch out a little more performance. Should have stopped after the sheave! After all my fooling around I finally added power steering - what a marvelous improvement to the Rhino. OBTW, hope you ordered a new belt - be foolish not to replace the drive belt when you have it all apart..
