So we were in the desert and our 2008 Rhino stopped running. It flashed low battery and wouldn't run. We jumped started it but as soon as we removed the cables it died again. It's been on the charger and the battery reads fine but it still not starting. It has a very low clicking noise when the key is on. What are you thoughts.

Make sure your battery cables are tight and clean of corrosion. If thats not the problem pull it and run by an auto parts store they can load test the battery to verify that it isn't internally shot.

Some chargers will read ok on a bad battery.

Stroker: Did you figure this one out ? I was guessing Reg/Rec myself...

Had exactly the same symptom on my KTM. Reg/Rec was charging at 18VDC which eventually cooked the battery.

New batt works for awhile, eventually with the same result.

Soooo... ? Let's hear it !

We replaced he battery and it seems t be working again. We checked the battery and it was bad the new battery is charging between 13 and 14 volts in the rhino which is normal. It was the original battery.
