A buddy of mine recently acquired a rhino from his father-in-law. It hasn't run in 3 years. It turns over but won't fire. We are going to drain the fuel and change the spark plug for starts. Any tips or tricks for a newby utv "mechanic"?

Well that's a good place to start. While you have the engine cover off inspect the wiring harness thoroughly for rodent damage - critters love to knaw on wires. Let us know what you come up with.

After you also clean and oil the air filter, if this is a 660 model, probably should remove & clean the carb. I'd also add a primer bulb (the kind for outboard motors) to the fuel line coming from the tank. The 660 fuel pumps have notoriously low pull, so give the primer bulb a squeeze or two to quickly get fuel to the carb after the beast has been sitting.
