Utah Arapeen

Here are a few minutes of Skyline Drive on the Arapeen trails last weekend. Wife and daughter in front of me in the Rhino.

Can't wait to go back.

Sorry for the crooked video, the helmet cam slipped down a bit. Need to hard mount it...

We were there for the Manti ATV Run. So, we accessed from a couple different trails right from Manti.
Not a real big rally, but a good chance to learn some of the trails and towns there. Each town has different access trails to the main trails. And only 2 1/2 hr drive for us.

Next summer, Paiute...

Palisades SP is where I would stay if I had an RV. There are about 4 different trails that head up the mountain in that area.

I was hoping to get back down there this fall.

That looks awesome! What is the best time of year to go? What's the typical lodge rate?

We like end of Sept to mid October for cool weather chance of snow, but the change of the leafs are great. Cabin rental run from $110 to $160 a night. Check out Marysvale Ut it has the 232 mile loop called the Paiute Trail with an additional side trails totaling about 2,000 miles.

On this trip, we had a great stay in Ephriam at the Willow Creek Inn, $79/night. Manti Country Village is another good one. Not a ton of motel/hotel choices, but lots of RV and B&B places are available. You can ride right from most or all of these places to the trails. ATV friendly towns all along the mountains.

Mid August, it was around 90 in town, 70's in the mountains.

Basically, you can ride thousands of miles of connected trails from just south of Park City all the way down to the Lake Powell area. Arapeen, Gooseberry, Paiute systems are all connected...

Big snow years like this past winter, most high mountain trails closed until mid June. Awesome in the fall, but hunting season has started already. Most hunt off the beaten paths.
