I ride where there are a lot of limbs and briars coming inside the cab slapping me across the nose and face. Every since I bought this bike I have been trying to figure out the best way to stop them. I've never worked with conduit before but decided to buy some and a bender and go to work. Hopefully if I can post these pics you will see what a came up with.
Thanks guys. At least the limbs won't get in my face. Yes I used half inch emt and it was a lot stronger than I thought it would be. It took some patience welding and bending it but at the last I got a better working with it.
The stuff is great for some projects. Very cheap and easy to bend. Bender is about $30. If you screw up a piece, throw it away and start over.
I used 1/2 emt for the frame of my "camper shell" on my Rhino. I skinned the frame with aluminum sheet. I removed the tail gate and installed a door.
When I take the pups bird hunting, I open the door, they hop in the back, I close the door and off we go. It is great to store gold prospecting gear in the back. No worries about chit bouncing out on the desert roads.
BTW - for people thinking of welding this stuff, it is galvanized, S O O O O, do not breathe the fumes. I could not find any that was ungalvanized.
Yeah I knew you would see those rhino rat. That's the reason I posted the pic of the whole bike. Thanks to you and jeepyfx450 I can really play with thing. I love the wheels.
