Odometer is wrong

Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone has experienced an ODO change to greater numbers? I know this sounds funny but it's true. I have a 07 with stock digital display and it reads 2047 miles. Not KMs. I have in no way driven this Rhino that many miles...guaranty it! It sat locked up for 6 months, and I bought it new in Feb. of 07. I've only had it out maybe 10 times, and the longest trip was 45 miles. It should have about 200 miles if anything. Maybe the decimal point is gone between the 4 & 7??? Does anyone know if there's a decimal point supposed to be on the ODO? I know the both Trips have it. For it to have 2047 miles I'd had to drive it an average of 100/month. It didn't happen. So is there someone that knows something about these displays????

Regards!

it sounds like you are on the trip meter instead. I think you have 204.7 miles on it.

Wierd! I looked at the hours and I have 173, If you do the math with an average of 20 MPH that comes out to 3460, again there's no way I've put that many hours on it.

So one person says "no decimal point" and someone else say "there's a decimal point". Wonder what's what?

Hello Dirtysidedown,

I made sure I wasn't on one of the Trips, I use them for two reasons; one for current ride, the other for oil changes.

Both my Trips depict the decimal point but not the ODO???

hmm, Now that I think about it, I thought I rolled 1000 miles over labor day weekend but now it says 8 something and I've riden the **** out of it lately. I will check and see if there is a decimal when I get home for you. Maybe the memories go bad?

same here, mine went from over 2000 miles back to under 1500 miles after I rolled it, it also reset itself to Kilometers which I changed back to MPH.

Is there a fix for the random mileage change?

Replace the dashboard display unit?
