Front differential

I'm looking for a new/used front diff. The 4x4 shift fork gear that the servo moves to engage the 4x4 broke. So instead of taking the whole thing apart to fix it I want to just replace it. Where can I find one of these? I've been looking for 3 days now.

That would be a very easy fix and I am pretty sure the parts are still available .... Easy = cheap ... but I am a broke tightwad.

Unless you can show me how to get the "shift fork sliding gear" out without taking the diff out then it's going to be a pain.

They don't even list this in the parts for the front diff.

The diff is easy to get out, and I would recommend taking it all the way out.

It has been a long time since I went through my front end .... I will go see if I can find the old one and the extra parts I had ,.... mine stripped a splined hub inside the diff and I bought a Grizzly diff for parts ... If I have that part I will send it to you as I don't need it.

I guess I threw that old diff away, I have two big commercial shop building full of junk, and usually don't throw stuff like that away, but can't find it ... I will keep looking.

I don't remember that part either ... what year Rhino do you have?

I believe this is Intro2rhino's CL post and looks like he does have a 700 front diff for sale.

I have never seen that happen before. Yamaha changed up the slide gear mechanism on the 700's. On the 660's that slide gear and shift fork can be removed with the diff in the bike. I just got rid of two 700 diffs. I'll keep my eye out for another one.
