Short caused loss of digital dash, 4x4, and brake switch that allows starting in gear

So I brought my bike to an audio installation shop to determine why my radio wouldn't work. They got power reinstalled to radio, and when I got it home, it wouldn't pick up any local radio stations. I bought a new antenna cable / antenna, plugged it in, and picked up all local stations. When I went to stab the radio back into the aftermarket radio box, something shorted out and killed the radio, the digital dash, the winch, the brake switch that allows starting in gear. Bike still runs fine. Cant tell if 4x4 is engaging, due to loss of power to digital dash. Havent tried to make tires spin to confirm if in 4x4 or 2x4. Audio shop ran new wiring to radio to prevent from happening again but couldn't find why the rhino electronics aren't working properly. This is a 2012 700. Any ideas before I bring to the Yamaha shop? BTW, I haven't picked up from audio shop yet, so I haven't looked around too much on my own. Thanks for the long read and any help you may be.
