was out in sand hollow utah over the weekend
running some dunes went up a 20' steep dune then down the side to a gradual incline along the incline
Bam ! a very loud noise under the center console had a little smoke and smell of burning rubber
figured i toasted the belt
got towed back opened up the housing to see the belt intact and found this
anyone ever experience this ? shouldn't the belt be the weak link ? is there a superior aftermarket secondary sheave ? how about a primary ? i plan to replace both

Welcome to the site, OEM is the superior, only aftermarket I'm aware of is china junk. I have not seen or heard of that before. The only sheave failure I've had was the fixed primary striped the splines in 9,000 miles of trail riding. Have you fired it up and run it through the gears, belts are tough you may have a tranny problem.
