08 700 wont start, got a couple of codes

I think I ran it out of the fuel the other day moving it in and out of the barn. Topped it off and it still won't start, it hit's every once in a while, but won't start. Started to do some trouble shooting and pulled the fuel line off to verify it was sending fuel and it is, so that's good. Downloaded the service manual and went through the diagnostics section. Found two codes, 12 and 39.

For code 12, I saw a thing on here about testing the old sensor. I'm going to try that tomorrow I think.

For code 39, I have no problem getting a new injector, but in the order of things to check for this fault code in the service manual (page 6-21), #1 says the main wire harness fuel pump coupler. If you understand how to get the display to show the diagnostics mode then you know that the fuel pump has to be unplugged. I'm wondering if unplugging the fuel pump causes this code???

Have any thoughts?

Can anyone help? I can't find the injector anywhere to get it here for the long weekend of riding!

I have a 660 so I am no expert on your fuel injection, but I'd try a little fuel down the intake to see if you can get it to start and run. I think there is a chance that once everything is primed back up you won't have a problem. If nothing else, you can be sure you are dealing with a fuel supply problem.

I pulled the injector assembly off and it's shooting fuel out and I do have spark on the plug. So that code didn't seem to do me anything. It will run for a second on starting fluid but that's it. I know that some codes won't let the machine start, but I didn't get any of those codes. I'm clueless now.

Well, looks like the battery contributed to most of the problem. I can get it started now, but it's running really rough. Take a look at this YouTube video.

If I can get it running I'll take it over to the house and wash it
