Starts but then dies

I was riding around and my 05 660 died. Would restart, but for only a few seconds. Got spark and I have clear fuel tube, so I know it’s got good fuel supply. I bought a new caltric carb and the same thing happens. New carb looks good. Starter jet was 4 1/2 turns from bottomed out. Other than that, I couldn’t tell there was a problem. I checked the fuel level for the float. It was right on. What am I missing?

First question is how are you determining it's getting fuel? Is the plug wet? If it is then it sounds like a spark problem.

I went on a parts replacing journey. Turned out to be an intermittent spark issue, so I replaced the stator/trigger coil again. Now it runs, but still trying to tune the new carb
