Error code 21
2008 Yamaha Rhino 700 - I need some help diagnosing and clearing code 21. I haven't been able to find any info on this code. Thanks
According to the users manual, which also advises how to clear fault codes, these are the indications causing the error.
• Open or short circuit in wire harness.
• Defective coolant temperature sensor.
• Malfunction in ECU.
• Improperly installed coolant temperature sensor.
You'll need to explore everything related to the proper operation of your temp sensor. Coolant level ok, sensor working correctly, wiring connected securely, etc.
Do a google search to get a hold of a pdf version of a users manual for yourself. Lots of needed info in there.
