Just buy 4" Supertrapp end cap and 18 disks and some stainless bolts. You can get them all over the net. This will probably be cheaper than buying a setup complete. I think a end cap is around $15, disks $40, bolts $5. Should be able to do it for $65 or so. Check out summitracing.com they have pretty good prices. You could add a heat shield for about $25 more.

Russ, why don't you just install one of the new screen style spark arrestors on your Ron Wood exhaust.

A lot nicer than the olds style disc system, IMO.
I have it in stock too.

Diggo wanted a silencer. He got two suggestions so far. A Spark arrester and adding more plates. I thought more plates made it louder? I don't think the spark arrestor would make it quieter but it sure is a nice simple design. What gives on making it Quieter and includes a spark arrestor for the ticket givers?

The more plates added to a SuperTrapp will make it louder and also give the exhaust less back pressure. I run 6 plates on my particular set-up and am thinking of removing some more.

ya think bout it adding more plates makes the closed end cap further away making a bigger longer hole for the exhaust to come out , almost like having no tip, 18 is way to many..lol

but yes having less plates is more back presure and low end grunt u will have and it will be quieter becuz it holds the exhaust in the muffler longer bcuz of the smaller hole for the exhaust to exit out .....

According to Woods 18 disks produces no loss in power. Any less and it starts to lose power. Whether or not it's a noticable difference is another thing. I run 20 disks and am happy with the sound and power. Everyone says they are one of the loudest exhausts out there, but mine is way quieter than the duals I used to have.
