I'm not sure, but I doubt it. Hell I wouldn't be shocked if they aren't made illegal period in that screwed up state. In S. Illinois, they are cop magnets.... on a trailer or in a truck. No riding back roads, ditches or anything. Lots of lost revenue out there for the state you'd think. Places to ride are getting slim as well. If you do find out any info though, let us know---

The cops here in central IL got off on pulling my step-son over on his golf cart goin 16 mph in a subdivision. They can seem to overlook all the meth labs, drug dealers etc etc.

When I lived there riding places where getting harder and harder to come by, I would doubt that you can legalize one there but how about a farm implement triangle?

If you voted for Obama to prove you are not racist- Who are you going to vote for to prove you are not an idiot?

Well it all depends on what part you are in. I live just north of Sumner Illinois and you can now ride them legal in the town of Sumner. The tow of Bridgeport is working on legalizing them now. We are pushing for the whole county and also Crawford county to our north. I think we are getting there but it is a very slow proses

state of illinios doesn't allow any atv's, utv's, golf carts, go carts, or anything fun on the roadway. trust me i have extensively researched this! only places that you can use them are on private property. the orange "slow moving vehicle" triangle was my first way of going at making it possible but it isn't listed in the IVC(illinois vehicle code), now if your a farmer and its owned by your farm and it's deemed a "vehicle of husbandtry" you can get by with having it on the road, but around here the deputies, troopers, and local cops will come at ya! trust me i'm one of them and got put on a cross for doing it! maybe we could start a group to petition our legistlatures to legalize them like other states do? maybe we could get the manufactures to back us?

man i couldnt agree more. we ride up there alot and there are lots of good places to ride. the state could easily make alot of money if they would just step in and do something.

Thats some funny stuff right there!
Illinois is 2nd only to the rEpUbLiC of California in liberal nut jobs....but gaining quickly!!
There is no way that state would vote to reduce or loosen legislation.

I know in Perry County ( Southern Illinois ) you can buy a yearly city permit for two of the towns here. The catch is you have to have a top, windshield, brake & turn signal lights. No highway driving is allowed only city streets. I'm sure if you cross the highway going from 1 street to another you want be messed with but you just can't go down the highway.

Around here in clark county it seems to go by the town. Here in Marshall you can't ride on the roads but If you go only 7 miles west you can ride in the town of martinsville as long as you stay off the 2 main streets. It drives me crazy that a drunk can drive his LAWNMOWER all over town, but a guy that pays taxes and has a drivers license will get a ticket for his Rhino beeing on the road.

This might help some of you

Check out 625ILCS5/1-140.7 public act:096-0653
IT allows for a low speed vehicle that has a maximum speed greater than 20 but not greater than 25MPH to travel on roads with a speed limit no greater than 30MPH. There are some stipulations such as certificate of title required and registration along with certain equipment requirments. Mandatory insurance applies too. Check it out.
