08 lift kit on 700 rhino

I just installed a Rubber Down lift kit on my 08 rhino 700. Just a little worried about the angles on the shafts. Has anybody done this kit and have there been any problems with the shafts? I have noticed the steering is more harder to turn my tracks since the kit has been installed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have been running the Xtreme 3" lift with 28" tires for 2 years. My axles have done just fine so far.

i looked at buying this kit also.i read the installation instructions and didn't like the fact that you have to grind on the rear shock mount to clear.but,i really liked the front design.

Thats the main reason i juts went with the normal bracket lift no cutting just bolt on 30 mins and move on.

But i agree it looks like a nice kit.

i have a 2'' lift on my 700 had it for 500 miles and a cv boot went on the rr iner shaft. not the lifts falt but when i had the axle out i saw that the axle shaft was rubbing on the outer snap ring.it was really bad.i had to us a punch and pry it out and regrind the grove for a new snap ring.i think im going to run limit straps to stop the suspension from going all the way down.has this happend to any one else.

ive been running the rubberdown kit for a year now without any issues. i gained about 3" of lift with it. i do have a rear cv joint that started clicking but i cant really say it wasnt going to even if i didnt have the lift. ive got a pair of the superatv axles going in it right now and theyre suppose to be able to handle more angle.

Cv's can handle a quite a bit of angle as long as there is not too much torque on them,.. it's the cv boots that burn up because of friction.

if you put grease or something on them to help keep them lubed up and just rewashed and applyed do you think it may extend the life any on the boots

I had the same problem with a 2" lift. I went to a 3" and had to remove part of the shock bracket. Just not a good system. Im sure there are better kits though.

The Rubberdown 2" lift fits on the 700 Rhino without any grinding but you have to grind a little on the 660's rear shock mount
