"What else will I need"? Suggested parts!

So you're doing a Rotax swap in your Rhino?

You're probably wondering what you'll need that is not included with the quad and the Rotax Your Rhino swap kit.

The RYR kit is essentially everything you'll need to get this thing in and ready to wire. The kit does not include wiring harness modifications. The kit does not include gaskets, seals, oil, oil filter, air filter, ect. These are things you will need to purchase on your own.

Things you'll need -

Outlander or Renegade quad
2.5" Air filter
oil, oil filter, coolant
misc gaskets and seals OEM Rotax part numbers
wire, electrical tape, soldering iron/ and or misc connectors, and basic understanding of 12v electrical systems
700 Rhino fuel tank and pump, or universal fuel pump - fuel pressure regulator - and fittings, or a modified fuel tank to accept the factory pump and level sender

Tools you'll need -

Sawzall or rotary cutting device for cutting the belly pan and back of dash
Drill and misc drill bits
Wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering iron
Grinder and 6" grinding burr
Gasket scraper
Brake cleaner
Black spray paint for areas that were cut
Misc hand tools - Sockets, Ratchets, Wrenches, Allen wrenches, Hammer, ect
Wire ties
Loctite

The kit does not include an exhaust system. This will have to be fabricated from the factory system, or I highly suggest the bolt on system from Muzzys. It is top notch and requires no fabricating. Muzzys Rotax Rhino Dual Exhaust Is Here!

Also suggested, but not 100% necessary is a Dalton clutch kit. This kit has been used by nearly all the pioneers that have done this swap, and it comes highly recomended for Rhinos! Part number - DBO 800

If I have missed anything, please chime in

Can you run the airfilter out to the stock location? I have a 4-seater...

Are you guys upgrading the airfilters? AFE? K&N?

Air filter choice and location is up to the consumer. You could plumb the throttle body all the way up to the 700's factory air box, but it will be way more restrictive than just running the air filter open.

It might depending on the resistance values. I havent tried one yet.

You can use your tank and pump, but you will definitely need a fuel controller to overcome any lean condition it might create.

So would you recommend trying to get the rotax fuel pump? I working on an engine now if I manage to get it I will definetly purchase one of your kits. They look great. Thanks for your help

A Rotax fuel pump is the cleanest and most simple setup. But then you'll add the cost of a fuel cell to the swap.

You SHOULD plan on purchasing these items as well. REASON - You already went this far... why not do it right.

FULL Set of gauges. Volt - Water Temp - Oil Pressure. Knowing what your motor is doing is key to keeping it healthy! I picked up a full set of these in a package from Checker Auto for like 55 bucks. I then later returned them and upgraded to autometer.

Wide Band A/F Gauge. The muzzy exhaust comes with a port for this to plug right in. Never again worry about your motor running lean! These are pricy, but if you shop around you can pick one up for around 230 range. I got the autometer one to match the rest of my gauges. All in all i think my total was 467 shipped for Killer looking LED lit, high quality gauges.

MR RPM's external Oil cooler adapter. This will allow you to run oil lines up to stock rhino oil cooler and keep that motor happy. Its also nice because you can go back to using standard screw on type automotive filters which are much bigger and easier to change.

A computer programmer of some sort. If you plan on doing a dyno for a perfect tuned machine then go with the PCIII. Other wise the digitune from muzzy will probably do just fine.

Last but not least... TAKE YOUR TIME DOING THE GRINDING FOR NEW LARGER THROUGH SHAFT!!! Lets just say you don't want to know why...

I think you will be fine with the stock radiator if you are running a stock motor setup. If you plan on doing a BB kit, im not sure how the stock rad would do. I know myself and a few others have stuck with the stock Can-am rad with no issues. If you are worried about it, and its in the budget i would just go for it.

Got another question, what is everyone doing about the rear injector on the intake, my coolant outlet is in the way for putting on the coolant line, if I flip it, the mount is in the way.
